Present Continuous

In English the Present Continuous is formed with

   The present simple of BE + a verb in -ing   

I’m running in the park

You’re writing a postcard

He’s lying on the beach

She’s doing yoga

It’s eating

We’re swimming in the sea

They’re studying French

En inglés el presente simple  la 3ª persona del sigular se forma de la siguiente forma:

La mayoría añaden simplemente -S                     work- works           play-plays        o       

añaden solo   -S       cuando el verbo acaba en e         close- closes            ride- rides

Los verbos acabados en -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o, añaden  -ES       finish - finishes   kiss- kisses    watch- watches      go-goes    do-does

Los verbos acabados en consonante +y   cambian a  -IES                   study -studies          cry - cries                  try-tries
