La cueva de Candamo o la caverna de la peña de Candamo está situada en el concejo asturiano de Candamo en el pueblo de San Román.

Fue descubierta por un paisano apodado “El Cristo” en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX., aunque, oficialmente, se descubrió en 1914 y, en 1919, Hernández Pacheco.

La cueva y sus pinturas debieron de tener un sentido mágico-ritual para aquellos hombres paleolíticos, que no vivían en la cueva.

The atmosphere has several layers.
Changes in weather occur in the lowest layer the troposphere.
Above that is the stratosphere, which is relatively weather free.
Then the ionosphere which contains electrified layers of air that reflect radio waves
and make round the world communications possible.
Beyond that is the mysterious rarefied exosphere, now being explored by Earth’s satellites.
Where is the stratosphere?
Just above the troposphere.
Where is the tropopause?
It is in between.
Where is the stratosphere?
Under the ionosphere.
Where is the exosphere?
Highest on the scene.
All together, all together they make up the atmosphere.
