Desde el Blog de la biblioteca y los tablones del centro os iré informando sobre las novedades y actividades que espero os gusten y os sean útiles para aprender y disfrutar con los idiomas.
Os anticipo algunos aperitivos, entrantes y postres, dejando para más adelante el plato fuerte, ya que este curso la GASTRONOMÍA será nuestro hilo conductor alrededor del cual nos moveremos.
También seguiremos con los CLUBES en francés e inglés.
Haremos un VIAJE DE ESTUDIOS cultural y gastronómico a Francia (reunión en noviembre, estad atentos).
Habrá para Navidad un CONCURSO DE CUENTOS NAVIDEÑOS.
Para San Valentín, volved a animaros a participar al CONCURSO DE CARTAS DE AMOR.
En abril para celebrar el Día del Libro, en colaboración con el “Proyecto de Apertura de Centro”, tendrá lugar un CONCURSO GASTRONÓMICO.

PARA NIVEL AVANZADO Y ANTIGUOS ALUMNOS, EN LA BIBLIOTECA.
En estas reuniones periódicas se propiciarán grupos de discusión en torno a un tema, libro, autor o evento; los alumnos comentarán sus lecturas e intercambiarán sus opiniones, a partir del conocimiento común de un autor o tema.
Este trimestre nos basaremos en los “dossiers” de las revistas ÇA M´INTÉRESSE (que se entregarán a los participantes) previamente).

Aprende inglés con las canciones

El miércoles 6 de mayo (de 9h30 a 11′30), terminaremos la última parte del libro de Anna Gavalda ENSEMBLE C´EST TOUT y pasaremos a continuación a visionar la adaptación al cine de Claude Berri (en audiovisuales). Para ver la entrevista pinchar AQUI.
En mars 2004, c’est la consécration pour la jeune femme : « Ensemble, c’est tout », l’histoire simple et bouleversante de quatre âmes esseulées (Camille, une jeune femme déboussolée ; Philibert, aristo bègue et féru d’histoire ; Franck, le cuistot un peu beauf et Paulette, une mamie trop têtue) qui se cherchent et finissent par s’aimer, devient le plus gros succès de 2004 derrière l’inébranlable Da Vinci Code. En 2007 ce roman est adapté au cinéma par Claude Berri.
Una vez leído veremos la adaptación al cine por Claude Berri (también será un homenaje a este director y productor de cine francés puesto que acaba de fallecer este mes de enero).

En diciembre hemos leído la historia corta del autor irlandés John B. Keane. ” The woman who passed herself out”. Hay copia de la historia e información sobre el autor en la carpeta del club de lectura en la biblioteca.
What have the readers said about the story? ” In general, they liked the story, although they found it a bit difficult to read at the beginning. But after a second reading they could understand it without any problems. Some club members enjoyed the humorous moments . The ending, somewhat magical, was not expected by most of the club readers.”

Hace unos años se hizo una película de una de sus novelas. The Field, un relato muy interesante y lleno de sorprendentes reacciones en la Irlanda rural.
En Enero viajamos al contiente africano de la mano de una novelista contemporánea que ha recibido entre otros premios, el premio Príncipe de Asturias y el Nobel de literatura.

En Febrero, nos vamos a acercar un poco de puntillas al género del “terror, suspense”… difícil definición para este historia corta de Shirley Jackson titulada The Lottery. Una escritora no muy conocida en España, pero que sí lo es en EEUU, país de origen de esta escritora, de la que se dice ha influenciado al mismísimo Stephen King.

The short story will be reading in April is ” The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgard Allan Poe.
Edgar Allan Poe is one of the greatest American short story writers and his 200 anniversary has been celebrated recently. ( He was born in January 1809). It has been really difficult for me , an out-and-out Poe’s fiction lover, to choose the story for the month of April among his collection; and I’m sure most of you have heard of stories like ” The Murders of Rue Morgue” or ” the Fall of the Usher House “, which I do recommend to you if you haven’t read them, so I have selected a story that is not so well-known and in which Poe points out another human weakeness.

Poe was also a romantic poet and there is one long poem titled Annabel Lee which I think is beautiful, and that was used by songwriters in their songs, for example, the 80s Spanish band ” Radio Futura”, Joan Baez, Marianne Faithful, Steve Nicks, Jim Reeves etc…

Anna Gavalda est née en 1970 à Boulogne-Billancourt. Sa première nouvelle, elle l’écrit à 17 ans, dans une salle d’examens, alors qu’elle est en train de rater le concours de Sciences-Po… Elle décroche finalement une maîtrise de Lettres à la Sorbonne, tout en développant ses aptitudes littéraires en participant à des ateliers d’écriture. En 1992, elle remporte le concours de la plus belle lettre d’amour de France Inter. En 1998, elle est lauréate du concours “Du sang dans l’encrier” de la Bibliothèque municipale de Melun. Elle achète un ordinateur pour l’occasion, et depuis, ne s’arrête plus d’écrire.
En 1999, le recueil de nouvelles « Je voudrais que quelqu’un m’attende quelque part », refusé par nombre d’éditeurs et finalement publié par Le Dilettante, crée la surprise : bouche-à-oreille, presse unanime, elle reçoit le Grand Prix RTL-Lire… Le premier livre d’Anna Gavalda est traduit dans une trentaine de langues et ne quitte pas les classements des meilleures ventes pendant des mois.
