SCHOOL TRIP TO SALISBURY -BATH

We arrived to Aviles airport at 8:30 a.m. and we waited there for  4 hours, it was so boring and frustrating, it wasn´t a good experience for those people who hadn´t  flown  before.

We reached our destination at 4:45 p.m. at Standsted airport; Andy,  a Kaplan´s monitor was waiting for us and a bus  picked us up. It took us 2 hours to get  to Salisbury,  then the family drove us home.

We had dinner at 8:30 p.m.  and we asked the family for basic information like: where and when we had to take the bus from, when  we could take a shower, if they spoke Spanish ,etc. Finally we went  to bed ,  we were very tired.

The first day Frank and Sue took us to Kaplan´s International  School where we met the other teachers. In the afternoon we ate the packed lunch.  The teacher gave us a bag pack and then we went into town . At the end of the day we took the bus back to our house.

The second day we  did the same in the morning , we visited Salisbury´s Cathedral.  It was amazing but a little tiring  because we walked all the morning,.

On Wednesday we visited Stonehenge, it was beautiful  but it wasn´t as amazing as we thought it was going to be. Then we went for dinner to Pizza Hut.

On Thursday we  went to Bishops Boy’s School, a Grammar School. A group of boys, who spoke Spanish very well, explained  the history of the school . After that each one of us attended  lessons with a boy from the school.

On Friday we were supposed to walk to Old Sarum, but the weather was too bad. As we couldn´t go there, we were taken to Salisbury Museum. It was interesting, one the  rooms was frightening with very realist wax dolls. At the end of the day the teachers handed us a diploma with our level of English.

On Saturday we visited Bath, the Roman Baths, the Bath Abbey, Royal Crescent, the Circus, Pulteney Bridge. Later, the teachers gave us free time to go shopping.

Finally, on Saturday night we went to the airport and we flew back to Asturias. We couldn´t sleep because we had  to spend  all night at the airport. We arrived to Asturias at 10 o´clock.

The school trip was a good experience, we enjoy it very much. The day we enjoyed most was Saturday when we went to Bath. We hope to repeat the trip again.
