Merci.

Dear Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar,

It has been a long time without hearing from you and it has been so long I cannot remember the last news I told you! I admit to have been angered for a long time, but I still remember with annoyance that January the 6th when opening the present I found those horrible underpants and two pairs of socks instead of the remote-controlled car that I had asked for. It really was an enormous disappointment, you can be sure of that.

However, I want to tell you that, after some years without keeping in touch with you, I still adore and love you with all my heart.

Contrary to the tendency, I am not writing this letter to ask you for anything. In this case I am writing to you in order to give you some information I consider of vital importance and necessary for your survival…

It is known that in Spain Father Christmas is reemerging with a renewed role!

As you know, I am working as a language therapist at a pre-primary and primary school, and after lots of painful years checking how Santa is making his way and gaining ground in our children’s mind, I can conclude, without any kind of doubt, that they prefer him! I have no alternative but writing and telling you.

British culture is more and more present in our schools every day: music, fashion, Halloween, Thanks Giving Day… and, of course, Father Christmas… which is no bad at all.. an obvious proof is the fact that I am writing to you in English. But… this flamboyant fat man, with his tacky red dress (after being bought by a famous soft drink brand), his elves and his flying sleigh pulled by nine reindeers (including the ridiculous Rudolph) is winning our children’s hearts whereas you, poor three Wise Men, are being forgotten year after year.

I think it is necessary to do something… to knock him out… figuratively speaking, you know.

I hope all is well with you and work in these busy days is OK.

If you have any queries or request further information, please write an e-mail to me at alia.tarprince@alyasira.com.

Thank you so much for your interest reading this letter.

Best wishes.
