The Importance of Punctuation
An English teacher wrote these words on the whiteboard: “woman without her man is nothing”. The teacher then asked the students to punctuate the words correctly. The men wrote: “Woman, without her man, is nothing.”

The women wrote: “Woman! Without her, man is nothing.”
Sorry! Couldn’t help it!!!
Another cool website for students
This is what I’m listening to these days.
Adele is, according to the BBC’s Sound of 2008 list, the most promising new music talent in UK. Her debut album is called 19 telling us about her age and it topped the British charts this year. In a way she sounds very much like her classmates Amy Winehouse and Kate Nash and she went to the same performing school in South London.
And now… fancy listening to her performing live ?
Or would you rather do a listening with this beautiful song ? Yes? Click here
Practise reading and listening
If it ever entered your mind I was going to let you go on holidays without recommending some websites for you to keep on learning, then you don’t know me at all. That’s the first cool one I’ve bumped into, some others will follow.
The purpose of this site is to help adults improve basic skills like reading and spelling using real-life stories on topics of interest to adults. The stories are based on real life situations of interest to adults.
Pick a story to hear the story, click the “Listen” button below the story. When you are done reading the story, click the “Next” button to start doing some activities based on the story .
To my second year students
Congratulations!!!!
Yes, I feel so very proud of you. You have done incredibly well in the exams . I know it was hard to face a three member board especially when, just trying to face me while doing an oral exam was hard enough. Anyway , you’ll find your marks on Monday here www.eoilangreo.net . Having congratulated you all , I have to admit that one of my students has failed two skills and I want to encourage this person to sit the exam in September as the marks ,although not enough to pass , are high enough to make me think it’s fairly possible that she’ll pass if she tries just a little bit harder. So, cheer up , my dear student ! I know you can do it!
