Recomienda un libro: “The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole”

Publicado en Recomienda un libro por CRISTINA CABAL DIAZ a las 21:11 h.
Título: “The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole”
Autor: Sue Townsend
Lectura graduada:            Sí                   Nivel : 4
Idioma: Inglés
Sinopsis:
This book is the sequel to “The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole” and was written by the same writer, Sue Townsend.
It is based on the problems of a teenager who grows up in a difficult social environment. At first all his problems were about girls (he had fallen in love with a girl who didn’t like him so much) and also about the school. But he also had problems at home, problems he didn’t even know about. His mother was pregnant and also was his neighbour, and her father was the father of both.
It’s a very funny novel, despite all the problems that surround the main character, so I recommend it.

The story takes place in Oxford, when Dr. Janet Leighton, the owner of a clinic and a big house, appears dead. She had changed her will and she left all her money to “The Help Africa Live Organization”.
Inspector Williams and Sergeant Miller of the Oxford police wanted to know who the murderer was. They asked people close to Dr. Leighton. They were her husband Simon, her son Chris or Dr. Collins who worked for Leighton´s Clinic.
And the killer was …..
(I think that for the reader to know who the murderer was, he should read the book on their own)

Title: “Great Mysteries of our World”

Author : Gina D.B. Clemen
Graded reading: Elementary.

Level: B1

Language : English

Sinposis:

It is about a family and their life on a desert island. There are events and mysterious places that have no explanation.
This book is interesting, but I was not able to understand everything since I am in my first year of Basic Level, so next time I’ll choose an easier one. An advantage is that the book has a CD and you can listen to it to improve pronunciation.

Assessment: 8/10
