the present simple

The present simple is used to talk about things we do regularly, everyday, etc. Things we frequently do.
This is the form of the present simple

third person singular affirmative:
  • we add -s : want-wants /need -needs
  • we add -es when the verb ends in -s/-ss/-x/-tch/-sh/-o : mix-mixes / do-does / go-goes / watch- watches / wash-washes
  • We add -ies when the verb ends in CONSONANT+Y: fly-flies /study-studies
the present simple usually goes with ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY:
always
usually
often
sometimes
never
Adverbs of frequency go immediately before the verb:
I usually go to school by bus
He often studies English
If we have the verb to be in the sentence,  the adverb goes after the verb to be
He is often lazy
I am always late
