On the following video, some people are going to give some basic personal information about themselves and their friends. To start with, read the questions and try to answer them while you watch the first part of the video. Then, watch the second part with subtitles and check your answers.

Everybody knows Sting’s big hit from the 80’s, but not everybody is aware of the fact that he was inspired by a man called Quentin Crisp. Quentin Crisp (December 25, 1908 - November 21, 1999), born Denis Charles Pratt, was an English writer, artist’s model, actor and raconteur known for his memorable and insightful witticisms. He became a gay icon in the 1970s after publication of his memoir, The Naked Civil Servant, brought to the attention of the general public his defiant exhibitionism and longstanding refusal to conceal his homosexuality.
