The Cranberries
I must admit the 90s were not particularly special for me music wise. The reasons are simple; I’d finished college and I’d started to work and to create my own family, so music was no longer a crucial feature in my everyday existence. Perhaps it was only that I was no longer a teenager and I preferred to stick to the bands and singers I already knew and loved.
Having said that, there were certain groups that caught my attention and whose songs I enjoyed. One of those bands were The Cranberries, whose frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan, had a beautiful and original voice. They were from Ireland, which made them even more dear to me, since the emerald isle was the place where I learned to speak English for real, and where I made wonderful friends.
