I have already mentioned the varied and interesting resources which BBC Learning English offers. Among its sections, Beyond the Postcard gives us the chance to access text, audio and video materials to learn more about The United Kingdom and its geography.

These days the Internet offers a plethora of learning possibilities for an ESL student. There is a countless number of websites which post interesting and useful activities to practise all the necessary skills. I am particularly keen on those sites where you can practise your listening comprehension abilities. Last week I posted a video from The New York Times from our friends across the ocean, so it is the turn now for our more familiar standard British accent.

One of the websites which appear in my recommended links section is BBC Learning English. I am amazed at the sheer number and quality of all the activities you can find there. For one thing, an ESL (English as a second language) student can access all kinds of exercises to improve his four major skills. I strongly recommend you browse through its varied and useful sections until you get to the specific structure or skill you need to improve or simply reinforce.
