Freshtopia: Food, Sustainability and the Environment

Last year, while I was browsing the Net looking for websites I could use with my students, I came across Freshtopia. I loved their fun and entertaining videos, in which they show you how to make yummy and healthy dishes, among many other things. I contacted them to ask them if they would mind me using their videos in my classes and they just loved the idea and they even included a specific feature on Luarca on their vlog, regaling us with their own very special version of paella.

On Thursday 15th November, my 5th year students did this listening comprehension exercise during our lesson. This is a listening comprehension activity we did in our 5th year class on 8th November. It deals with several forms of alternative medicine. You will hear some people commenting on their experiences with acupuncture, hypnosis and other kinds of medical treatment.
