Blog for advanced English students at EOI Luarca

lab3a1.jpgLast week, we started using our brand new computer lab at EOI Luarca and we couldn’t be happier about the whole thing. So far, we haven’t had any technical trouble (knock on wood!) and all of us teachers and students are enjoying the benefits of this technological upgrade for our school.

Every class has a weekly period to go to the lab and carry out the activities their teacher has prepared for them. Today, my 5th year class is going to watch a National Geographic video on Newgrange , one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, and then complete a series of statements about it with the right information.

If you would like to do this activity yourself, you can print the document below and then watch the video at the bottom of this post.

  2. Juanjo Said,

    Hi, Javier:
I’m Juanjo, a philosophy teacher of the Navia’s Highschool. I was studying english for three years in Luarca’s EOI with Michel ten years ago. You were teaching at this time in Luarca.
I found your blog some weeks ago because I was looking for something on the net for my classes….as I have begun to teach (at least, I try so) Citizenship education this year in the Bilingual Section.
I think that your blog is huge and excellent, for sure.
I was thinking to write you this past weeks and I do it now.
I am making a course about hot potatoes this days on the net and I think you are very skillfull with your hot potatoes exercises.
Well, I’d like to ask your from time to time for advice in the future, if you don’t mind. I’ve linked my blog with yours because I think your blog is very useful.
Sorry for my english if I’ve failed some word or expresion. It’s a pleasure to talk with you. Nice to blog you!
    Juanjo

    Hi Juanjo,

It’s been great to hear from you. Of course I remember you from the time you were in Michel’s class. I’m so happy you like my blog, you are very kind about it. It goes without saying I’ll be delighted to help you with any trouble you might have with Hot Potatoes.

Thanks for linking your blog to mine and keep in touch.

    Take care,
    Javier.
