duncan.jpgI wanted to share with you advanced ESL students out there another interesting and most useful site where you can keep improving your English. It is called Learning English and it has been created by Misterduncan, an English teacher and amateur videographer, as he defines himself.

I have chosen a video on accents. I think Misterduncan’s views on the real relevance of the accent an ESL student might decide to copy are extremely clarifying, coming from a native speaker who also happens to be an English teacher.

Watch the following video and think about the questions and statements below for our next lesson, which we will start by talking about your opinions on them.

1. If you want to speak English fluently, you must sound like a native speaker.

2. You should choose either a British or an American accent.

3. Are you comfortable with your accent when you speak English?

4. Is it wrong to copy a native speaker’s accent?

5. Do you agree with Misterduncan’s opinions?
