This academic year has been really special for all of us English teachers and students alike at EOI Luarca because we have been blessed with the presence of a very special language assistant, our very own Alison Brick. She has made our lessons come alive with her dynamic participation and we are all going to miss her so badly. If it is any consolation, Alison has decided to stay in Asturias one more year, and I am sure she will keep in touch from her new school. By the way, if you would like to keep track of her whereabouts and life in general, you can vis¡t her blog called Donde fueres, haz lo que vieres.
Alison has emailed me the following text, which is dedicated to our 5th year class:
Dear 5th year class,
Thank you all so much for the lovely Azabache earrings and Asturias magnet. It was very nice of you to think of me, and you can be assured that I will think of you every time I wear the earrings or see the magnet on my fridge. I really enjoyed coming to your class throughout the year; I suppose it’s safe to say now that it was my favorite class! I’m so glad that I got to know you and I will miss you a lot next year!
I’d also like to say thank you to those of you who were so extremely patient and kind to let me practice my Spanish with you. I really appreciated it! I hope that if any of you ever come to New York when I’m there, you’ll let me know!
Congratulations on graduating! If you get a chance from time to time, stop by my blog and leave me a message. I’d love to hear from you!!
Un besín,
Alison
