Lachesis at Compostella

  • Monday, 5th
    - Welcoming day. Delegates will be met in Oviedo (it is vital to know, in good time,
    estimated schedules of arrival).
    - Guests will be taken to their accommodation in Cangas del Narcea: families for pupils, a
    boarding house for teachers in the centre of town.
    - Evening meals will be arranged (at each one’s own expense).
  • Tuesday, 6th
    - Pupils will arrive at school at 08:20 with their hosts and will take part in the activities
    organized for them with our bilingual groups.
    - Welcoming at the school theatre.
    - Buffet lunch at 12:00. Our Mayor will be present to welcome our guests.
    - At 14:20, pupils will go back home with their hosts.
    - After a pleasant siesta the teachers will meet for their first working session.
  • Wednesday, 7th
    - The teachers will be picked up at 09:30, after breakfast, and will be taken to the school for
    their second working session.
    - Pupils will arrive at school at 08:20 with their hosts and will take part in the activities
    organized for them with our bilingual groups.
    - At 11:30, our pupils will be taken to a bolera for our «Second International Intensive Course
    on Local Ninepins» (progress will be officially certified).
    - At 14:20, both teachers and pupils will go back home with their hosts, have lunch and get
    ready for departure towards Santiago de Compostela. We will meet back at the bus station at
    16:00.
    - On the way to Santiago de Compostela (we will follow the route along the coast), we will
    cross the Ría del Eo by boat and will stop at the Praia das Catedrais (also called Praia de
    Augas Santas). We will arrive at Monte do Gozo in the evening (half a day’s walk from the
    city centre) and be lodged at a pilgrims’ hostel where dinner will be served.
    - If time permits it, we will try and see some sights at night in downtown Santiago de
    Compostela. This will be the right moment of the day to summon up the witches and their
    boiling brew.
  • Thursday, 8th
    - We will have breakfast at 09:30. Then we will leave for downtown Santiago de Compostela
    to visit the cathedral and also the crypt which houses St. James the Greater’s relics.
    - After some sightseeing -there will also be some free time for souvenir shopping and to have
    lunch (at each one’s expense)-, we will start our way back. This time we will follow the
    French way and stop at Molinaseca, one of the most characteristic villages on the Way to
    Compostella.
    - We expect to arrive in León at about 18:00, where we intend to visit the MUSAC, the city
    museum of contemporary art.
    - Leave for Cangas del Narcea at about 21:00 where we expect to arrive round midnight.
  • Friday, 9th
    - Departures. According to plane times, transport will be arranged to take you to Oviedo (at
    each one’s expenses).
