I'm sure you will finish it M José!
It is true that at the beginning it's heavy going, but as you continue reading you find out that the story makes you think about life, about how societies are organized, and you value much more the freedom we have in ours.

Hi everyone! One of my favourite films is Gran Torino (Clint Eastwood 2008). The main character of the film is a racist retired man who fought in the Korea war and now lives alone in a neighbourhood in which all his neighbours are Asian people.
In my view, it's a moving film that hooks you until the end. It's a thought-provoking film specially for one of the last scenes, which for me is the best of the whole film and which you can see by clicking the link at the top.

I have seen this film this year and it made me think. It criticises capitalism. the story is set in a near future where people only reach the age of 25, if one wants to live longer they have to buy time so the rich can live forever whereas the poor die young. One rich man gives time to a poor man named Will Salas( the main character) and he tries to give money to everybody but he finds some difficulties and adventures because when Will suddenly changes fortunes, it attracts the attention of the “Time Keepers”.

I couldn't find a scene on the Internet but here is the trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tZb2EU8NNw&feature=relmfu
I recommend this fim, it is gripping

One of my favourite films is Ghost (1990). The main characters are Sam and Molly who are played by Patrick Swayze (who died in 2009) and Demi Moore. They are deeply in love; as soon as the film starts, Sam is murdered by a thief in their appartment but his spirit doesn't leave Molly. As Molly is in danger (someone wants to kill her) Sam tries to talk to her through Oda Mae Brown ( Whoopi Goldberg). It is supposed that Oda Mae is a medium, but she is not, really. She cheated her clients.
During all the film there are lots of funny scenes with Oda Mae and I cannot forget the erotic scene when they are playing with clay, but the best scene in my opinion is the end, when Sam is going to heaven and he says goodbye to Molly with an emotional sentence " It's amazing Molly, the love inside, you take it with you". I always cry with this!
These words were written by Demi Moore in her twitter when Patrick Swyze died as a tribute of her friend.

If I think of movies I think of Tarantino. In my opinion, he’s a brilliant director and his films are full of memorable scenes. Although it isn’t my favourite film I’ve chosen this one from Kill Bill. A bride is about to get married when, suddenly, she hears someone playing music outside the church. She doesn’t need to see who is playing because she knows who he is, someone she has loved, maybe she still loves him, but she is not sure. I love every shot of this scene and hope you like it. Full screen is recommended. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOzYWF5r6gY&feature=related

One of my favorite films is "The Bridges of Madison County".
In my opinion this movie is outstanding because it reflects an average life, which is then becoming a really extraordinary one,r epresenting that everyone's life can change from one moment to the other.
My favorite part of the movie was when Robert (Clint Eastwood) was leaving and the two cars were one behind the other...it was a very touching scene.

My favourite scene is the one in which E.T, Elliot and his friends, riding their bicycles, run away from the police. When it seems to be unavoidable to be caught, the bikes begin to fly away over cars and men and get lost in the sky to form a memorable picture with the sun. Besides the picture, the soundtrack plays an important role in making this scene one of the strongest recorded in my memory.

When Harry Met Sally (Rob Reiner,1998)
Harry (Billy Cristal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) meet when she gives him a ride to New York after they both graduate from the University of Chicago.
The film jumps through their lives as they both search for love, but fail, bumping into each other time and time again.
Finally a close friendship blooms between them, but they fear sex would ruin their friendship.
One of the funniest scenes is the fake orgasm, and the final sentence of the old customer to the waiter: I'll have what she's having. XD

I don't like sci-fi but I believe that Blade Runner (Ridley Scott, 1982) is a film worth watching. One of its bests scenes -maybe the best- is the end. The scene is set in 2019 on a rooftop at Los Angeles. Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is trying to escape from Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer), a replicant who is trying to catch him after a rough chase. After jumping from one building to another, Deckard is hanging from a cornice. Batty, who has Deckard's destiny on his hands, decides to save him. It's pouring. Deckard is standing in front of him, lying on the ground. Then, Batty pronounces one of the best film speeches I could remember. He, who is about to die, describes astonishing experiences which no one could imagine to experiment. Moments that “will be lost in time like tears in rain”. Just after that, he passes away.
In my opinion, this scene condenses the disturbing atmosphere of the whole film. It contains the key to understand its message: the fight between eternity and death.

Two weeks ago I watched one of my favourite movies: Forrest Gump (I can´t remember how many times I have seen it). From my point of view, it has everything that a great film needs: An excellent soundtrack, a haunting love story and a great plot which takes place The USA in the 70s.
One of the things that makes it different is the visual effects used to incorporate various historical figures and events into the film. One of my favourite scenes of the film is when Forrest meets John Lennon in a TV program, and he is supposed to be the person who inspires Lennon’s song “Imagine”.
