What is Terra Mítica?

Terra Mítica is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Spain. It is a theme park. It has five sections. Each section of Terra Mítica represents a different Mediterranean civilization: Egypt, Rome, Greece, Iberia and the Mediterranean islands. It has attractions for all the family.

What can I do?

In Terra Mítica there are lots of different things to do. Each of the five civilizations has attractions, rides, shops and restaurants. In Egypt, for example, you can visit the famous pyramid of Keops. In Rome, you can go to the Coliseum and see the gladiators fight. In the afternoon, you can go to a Greek restaurant for some food and drink.

Where is Terra Mítica?

Terra Mítica is in the south-east of Spain. It is near the coast, next to the holiday resort of Benidorm. The park is a short drive from the centre of town. The nearest airport is in Alicante, which is about 50 km away. There is also a major international airport in Valencia, which is 140 km north of Terra Mítica. There are excellent road connections to Madrid and Barcelona. You can park your car in the car park. There is also a bus service from the centre of Benidorm.

When can I go?

Terra Mítica is open all year (but not in February). The park opens at 10:00 a.m. Closing times are different. In winter the park closes at 6:00p.m. In summer it is open until midnight. Prices in summer are 35 euros for adults and 26,50 euros for children aged 5-12. The park is free for children under 5. The best place to stay if you are visiting Terra Mítica is Benidorm. Here you can find hotels, shops and restaurants.
