I found this video by chance and I thought it could be a good candidate for our contest “The 5 top happiest songs”. It’s Top of the World, by The Carpenters, who were the biggest-selling group in the 70’s.
Watch the video, it’s out of this world
! You can even sing along!

I feel like working hard today…let`s also find a song that makes me smile.
REVOLUTION ROCK,by The Clash
This song is part of the legendary “London Calling”.It always cheers me up! The lyrics are so fast that I can`t pronounce.I feel like if I was singing tongue-twists
I still remember when I first listened to “Heal the World” by Michael Jackson. I was in a camp and we were going to dance another song from the same artist (Black or white)in a party we were holding.
When we rewinded the cassett we always came to listen to a little bit of the song I propose. It made us feel melancholic, because we missed a lot our parents, but at the same time you could see the smile in everybodies face! (don’t know why??? )
When you listen not only to the music but also to the lyrics you’ll realise that it’s more a sad song that a song that makes you smile,(at least that’s what happened to me)
But taking into account the situation I’ve spoken about this song helps me to take the rough with the smooth.
“Live Forever” is a song by British rock group Oasis, written by the band’s guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher. It was released as the third single from their fantastic debut album “Definitely Maybe” on 8 August 1994. It is now considered, along with “Wonderwall”, perhaps Oasis’s most popular and most well known song.
Gallagher wrote the song in 1991, before he joined Oasis. Inspired by The Rolling Stones’ “Shine a Light,” “Live Forever” features a basic song structure and lyrics with an optimistic outlook that contrasted with the attitude of the grunge bands popular at the time. The song was the first Oasis single to enter the top ten in the United Kingdom, as well as garnering critical acclaim from both critics and fans.
Personally, I like this song because it appered in the exactly moment when I needed to listen something hopeful, something which could make me go on throught my problems. Nowadays, if I had a bad day, I listen again this song and it still working and make me smile.
