A sad song by AFI

I’ve choosen ‘MORNINGSTAR‘ for the saddest song. This song is of an alternative-rock group called A.F.I.
The lyrics are the only thing that appears in the video, and that’s why I thought this link was the most appropiate.
Well, this song is so powerful and sincere that can almost touch you! The message is not very clear, but now that I’ve listened to it thousands of times I can figure out a meaning for it. It seems to me that the singer is talking, as a human man he is, to the audience, to his fans. I think he’s asking them what does he mean for them. He wants answers, he seems lost, he asks the people if he is ‘the gost upon the stage’ or if he is ‘your anyting’. In other words, he asks if he really touches his fan’s hearts, if his songs have any real and important value for them.Or on the other hand, he wonders if his fans are just group of people who repeat and sing the lyrics they have memorised. It’s such a sad song that each time I listen to it something tenses inside of me. It’s very depressing (altough beautiful) the way he shouts completely hopeless and almost desesperate looking for an answer to give sense to his life. It gives me goose bumps when I hear it.
And, for once, ‘love’ is not the theme, although some of my friends think Morningstar is a love story, I completely disagree. What do you think?

This is a sad song but if you listen to it carefully you realised that is not a really sad song it is about how to live although you have problems you have to try to continue living.In my opinion this is the best song if you are depressed, it may help you.The video of this song shows different types of discrimation,teenager´s problems etc.
It is called “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera, the cd is “Stripped”. Finally it depends on you how to consider it,sad or happy in a different way.

I chose the happy one because it has a lot of rhythm, is quite easy to understand so you can sing it and because it is really funny and further more the video makes the song funnier.
