As I saw some of you bursting out laughing in the computer room when you were watching this video, I thought that you may like to have access to it and listen to it in your own time and at your own pace.

In it, novelist Isabel Allende talks about writing, women, passion, feminism. She tells the stories of powerful women she has known, some larger-than-life, and some simply living with grace, dignity and ingenuity in a world that, in too many ways, still treats women unjustly.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and it started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds
