If you go to María V’s blog you’ll find a very interesting and funny test taken from the book Why men don’t listen and women can’t read maps. If you want to know what kind of person you are or how much of a man or a woman there is in you click here, download the pdf file, be honest with your answers and check your results in the answersheet. I can guarantee that it is great fun.
We all know that women represent at least half of the world population. It is also said that men and women have the same rights and the same possibilities. Is it true?
We can think of Spain as a “modern” country if we take into account the number of women government ministers. Or perhaps you don’t think we are “so” modern and things are as they used to be 10 years ago.
In our lesson you have been interviewing your classmates about these and other issues concerning how much gender roles have changed in the last years.
Please, send your conclusions here. It will be very interesting to read your findings.
Remember to follow the example we worked with in our lesson.
I hope you have done the revision I told you to do on Reported Speech and verb patterns in general. In case you want to do a bit more, go to CLASSROOM. I have uploaded a couple of exercises for you. Remember also to have a look at USEFUL LINKS page where, I’m sure, you’ll find something else to help you improve your English. Good revision!
You can do some vocabulary revision from module 7 in our book.
You can do some practice on verb patterns: verbs that are followed either by infinitive (with ot without to) or by -ing form. Each of the exercises has been uploaded separately, so if you try to use the navigation bar to go to the next one, you won’t be able to do it. You’ll have to go back to CLASSROOM and select the next one. I’m sorry about the inconvenience, but sometimes I seem to have communication problems with ICTs.
As I told you, I’ve uploaded the exercises we did on Monday and Tuesday so you can do some revision. Go to “CLASSROOM” and you’ll find them there. Have a good practice!
I hope you have enjoyed the song. After so much work we have to relax from time to time. But if while we are relaxing, we can practice English at the same time… PERFECT! You can listen to the song again while watching the video and if you feel like it, you can sing along with Duffy. If you have problems with the lyrics remember to use the zoom.
Have a nice weekend, do some revision and see you on Monday again with more new things to learn.
