## Exam review

Posted by ricardogm on 13th June 2012

Hi

We are going to start a big review for the final exam. Today you are going to  do these five “autoevaluaciones”. Copy two exercises of each one in your notebook. Up to 50% of the exam is going to be chosen from them.

Autoevaluación 1

Autoevaluación 2

Autoevaluación 3

Autoevaluación 4

Autoevaluación 5

## Graphs

Posted by ricardogm on 10th June 2012

Howdy

1. Please go to Anaya web and do all the parts. It’s easy

2. Then go to the BBC pages and do the activity. Not so easy, I think

3.  Use Geogebra to do exercises 1, 2 and 3, page 266. Send them to me

4. Do this activity and send me the score.

5. Work out three of these activities in your notebook.

Bye

## Geogebra exam

Posted by ricardogm on 28th May 2012

Hi

Instructions for the exam:

You have to create a geogebra file (only one) with several constructions:

1. A rectangle of 6 cm2 of area.

2. An isosceles triangle.

3. A right triangle (triángulo rectágulo).

4. A regular polygon with six sides (hexagon)

Use colors and styles to make it nice to see.

Save the file with your name on it and send it to me

## Areas of polygons

Posted by ricardogm on 21st May 2012

Howdy

We are going to start working with areas of polygons.

1. Go through all the steps in this page, write the formulas in your notebook and explain them to Frankie. Ask her how to pronounce the new words.

2. Make a rectangle with geogebra and send it to me. It has to show the area (use “valor”).

3.  Do these exercises

4. Work out the activity and test in this BBC page.

## Geometry 123

Posted by ricardogm on 20th May 2012

Hi

1. Today we are going to make a geogebra construction about Pythagoras theorem. You should know how to do it. Send it to me

2. We are going to solve some of the problems of the book with geogebra. Pay attention to the teacher

3.  Go to the BBC and do the three parts: revise, activity and test

## Pythagoras

Posted by ricardogm on 16th May 2012

Hi

These are the tasks for today:

1. Write a short composition of exactly 100 words about Pythagoras. Send it to me and read it to Frankie

## Triangles and so on…

Posted by ricardogm on 13th May 2012

Hi

As I told you last friday, we are going to use geogebra today, to create some simple constructions about triangles:

Construction number 1: Create a geogebra file with the three types of triangles. Clues:

Scalene: You only need one tool.

Isosceles: You need to use “mediatriz”

Equilateral: You need to use circles

Construction number 2: In another file, draw a triangle and its medians. They are going to pass through the centroid.

Obviously, send them to me. Bye

## Angles…

Posted by ricardogm on 7th May 2012

Hi

1. Please go to this page and pay attention to all the types of angles. Use internet to find the english words for all of them. Write them in your notebook. Ask Frankie for help, and to make sure that everything is correct.

2. Open geogebra and try to create a file with some of the types of angle. I’ve made an example here:

Obviously, send the geogebra file to me. Bye

## Starting with Geometry

Posted by ricardogm on 7th May 2012

Hi

Today we are going to do two things:

1. Work with Anaya

2. Work with Geogebra. Follow the instructions of the teacher
