In fact we just wanted to learn a song with vocabulary about city things, but the students in class 5th A took it very seriously and we have made a little performance with a song from their text book.
A group of students from 6th grade wanted to tell us what they like doing in their free time. This is how they express themselves about their hobbies:
This is a new version of the previous film “Telling the time in London”. This time all the students belong to the group 4th B. They act out in hypothetical situations asking for the time in London City. They show popular places such as Piccadilly Circus, The Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Camden Town, The British Museum….
Perhaps our students in 3rd and 4th levels can’t spell English words very well yet but they have been dealing with the English alphabet this last fortnight. See also other films in this blog “Learning the English alphabet” “The English alphabet by 3rd”
The following performance just happened in one of our English lessons last week. The group 5th B knew the lyrics of the song “Surfing is fun” very well -it’s a song from their English course book-, a couple of girls -Lucía and Lara- had prepared a choreography, they all wanted to sing… the teacher took the video camera and filmed everything. This was the end and it seems that the students are delighted with the result:
We welcome everybody to watch our work to celebrate the School Peace Day which will be held tomorrow. The soundtrack of the video was made by our Music teacher.
And thanks to our Music teacher, Mr Emilio Huerta, we are going to sing beautiful songs to commemorate this important day. Of course, we are going to sing “IMAGINE” in English, because it’s a tradition in our school. Go to these other links in this blog to see more works about this same topic: “Imagine, by pupils in Nava” , “Songs for the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace”, “Voices for the peace”
The student Carlos Sánchez (class 5th B) has made this interesting work about our Music teacher:
Among the amount of presents that the THREE WISE MEN brought to our students this year, we would like to show this funny curiosity. The twins Mariano and Juan González Caso, from the group 3rd C, have brought to school this big rubbers today. Their classmates could learn the word “MISTAKE” with these curious giant rubbers. Great idea and thank you very much Three Wise Men !!!
RUBBER is the same as ERASER
We must thank all the students for their help to collect the cardboard toilet paper rolls to make our classroom Christmas Trees this year. And we would also like to thank the teacher JULIA IGLESIAS because she had the great idea to make these original TREES using such a useless material. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all Nava educational community: students, parents, teachers and the rest of the school employees. We wish you all very GOOD LUCK for the New Year 2014.
Once more we have worked about this common topic in our English lessons. There are other entries in this blog related to the same kind of vocabulary. It would be nice to ckeck here and here to see it.
The students in the group 3rd C show us a lot of words about the HUMAN BODY. See the following film:
This is how the group “3rd C” has been practicing some of the things they were learning in their English lessons.
