During the school year 2009-10, our school participated for the first time in a school Exchange with students from College La Tour D’Auvergne de Quimper (Brittany, France). It was organised by the teachers from our French department in collaboration with the Spanish teachers in the Breton school. Thanks to the collaboration of the two schools involved, we managed to bring this long-awaited project to life for the first time.

From the 6^th to the 10^th of April, 2010 the French students visited Cudillero and took part in an intensive course of visits that helped them learn about our region. In return, we visited Quimper from the 17th to the 22nd of June, a period in which our hosts showed us their own regional charms.The time spent with the families (both Spanish and French) was judged by all the participating pupils as an unforgettable experience. Everyone agreed: nothing is better than living with a native family for learning firsthand about a country’s culture. Upon their return, the students admitted that they “had to communicate”, that talking was necessary.
