European Comenius Project: “The time Machine”

Programa de Aprendizaje Permanente This project is the result of the compromise of many teachers of this school that continues working with European Projects with the aim of getting our students involved in European problems and making them feel they are a part of this European Union, that starts now. thus, we make them exchange experiences with colleagues from different countries sotime-machine2.jpg that through the different tasks to fulfil, they improve their English and their communication abilities. We also try to open their views or the world to make them feel a part of the Europena community.

In the European ProjectsComenius 1.1 a series of tasks are programmed ( see “our taskes” page) to be carried out in three years by all the participant schools and with the colllaboration of teachers from different subjects. In our school, all english teachers are involved as well as many others , over twenty that work with 4th. year ESO students., that are the real participants of this project.

The european schools involved in this project are: Gymnasium am Deutenberg en Villingen Schwenningen from Germany, the Lycée Rodin in Paris , the IPSSAR Vicenzo Telese in Ischia, Italy, the Lycée Régional du Parc del Loges in Evry, France and our school IES Mata Jove, in Gijon.

Besides working, in the school students and teachers will meet once a year in one ot the schools to get to know each other, complete the tasks show the products and learn about othe ways of living. Last year our students went to Villingen Schwenningen in Germany from 23rd. to 28th of March. This year, 10 students from each school from 12th to 16th of april and later the same month, 10 of our students alog with two teachers will visit Germany from 24 th to 29 .
