On May 13 at18:30. we will be able to listen to the radio programme recorded in Gijon during the Big Comenius Meeting.

We will listen to students from all the schools . The ones in charged of the organizatios were: Valeria Campos, Ivan Avin y Pablo Nogueiro alumnos de 4º del Ies Mata Jove, with the collaboration of the monitors of the CIJ in La Calzada.

April 2008

10 students and two teachers of IEs Mata Jove travelled to GErmany from 24 to 29 aprill. HEre is a the programme of activities that the Gymnasium am Deutenberg planned for us.

Programmme of the visit of our friends from Gijón

(24-4 to 29-4-08)

Thursday (24-4)

Arrival of the Spanish group at Stuttgart Airport at 17 h. Welcome by the students and transfer by bus to to Schwenningen .

  • around 19 h: Arrival at Schwenningen, and dinner with families
  • After dinner at 21.30: Night toour of the historical area of Villingen, guided by the Comenius students of the Gymnasium am Deutenberg. S(English and Spanish).

Friday (25-4)

  • Early in the morning, visit to the Gymnasium am DeutenbergSchool. Classes start at 7.35.
  • Sapnish class with a group of students. Power Point presentation of tThe Principality of ASturias and questions about our place and our school.
  • Welcome at the school by the Gymnasium headmaster at 8.30.
  • Then set us an exhibition about our Project , Gijón and the IES MAta Jove in the school.
  • 10 h: Reception at the town Hall of Villingen-Schwenningen
  • Between 11.30 and 12.30 : Visit to the local museum of Schwenningen to have an idea of how life was years ago in Schwenningen
  • Then, return to school and go home with our friends.( or have soething to eat in the city).
  • 15 h: Walk around the NAtural reserve ofl « Schwenninger Moos » We will get to a place where we will prepare dinner with typcal dishes.
  • Después de la cena, vuelta a las familias.

Saturday (26-4)

  • In the morning, at 8: 00 we will visit the market and will buy things to make and have breakfast at the school.
  • After breakfast, Power Point presentations about Villingen-Schwenningen and the Black Forest Region.
  • 10.30: Trip to Freiburg crossing th Schauinsland, in the Black Forest.
  • 12. 15 h: Guided visit of the Cathedral of Freiburg (1h 30), Then free time . We will come back around 20.00,. Dinner with host families.

Sunday (27-4)

Day with host families. Possible trips around the area.

Monday (28-4)

  • 8.00 : TRip to „Europapark Rust“ - www.europapark.de
  • Dinner with host families and farewell party at school.

Tuesday (29-4)

We are leaving by bus at 3.45am to taake our plane in Stuttgart airport.

April 12th -16th - 2008

Germany: 10 students of the Comenius study group + 3 teachers

Evry: 10 students of the Comenius study group + 3 teachers

Paris: 10 students of the Comenius study group + 3 teachers

Ischia: 10 students of the Comenius study group + 2 teachers

Spain: 10 + 9 students of the Comenius study group

Programme

Friday April 11th

  • 7.00pm.- Arrival at the airport of Asturias of the Italian group. Spanish teachers will welcome you there . Transfer by bus to the hotel Arbeyal in Gijón ( about 40 minutes). Dinner at the hotel.

Saturday April 12th

  • 9:30.- Spanish teachers will take the Italian group on a mini- tour around the city and will visit the Laboral. Spanish students from Comenius last year will meet their Italian friends for lunch.
  • 11:30 a-m Arrival at the airport Asturias of the German group. Spanish teachers will welcome you there. Transfer by bus to Gijón. Students will be welcomed by the host-families and will have lunch with them.
  • 2:00-pm.- Lunch German and Italian and Spanish teachers
  • 3:00 - Arrival at the airport Asturias of the French group French ( Evry and Paris) Transfer to Gijon by bus, - Check –in at hotel
  • 5:00- The headmaster of IES Mata Jove , D. Jorge Rodriguez Montero Students and teachers and, will welcome all groups in Gijon, at the School. Power Point presentations
  • Short time to decorate our school with the posters brought by the different groups.
  • 6:30: Communication workshop. Getting to know each other organised by Pepe Parejo, Philosophy teacher at our school.
  • 8:30- Dinner at hotel. Germans with host families.
  • 9:30- Night walk .We will walk 30 minutes from the hotel to the city centre, the harbour and Poniente beach. ( If the weather is nice!!!)

Sunday April 13th

  • 8:45 Transfer to Flea market. Students will have 1 hour and a half to take pictures of the strange objects displayed there to work later on the project.
  • 10:00- trip to Covadonga, famous religious centre and Cangas de Onis, first Capital of Asturias where we will visit the Romanesque bridge and the dolmen under the altar of a church.
  • Pic nic lunch.
  • 2:30- Students in turns will visit the prehistoric Cave of Tito Bustillo with its paintings, in Ribdesella. The rest will visit a fantastic cave with stalactites and stalagmites. Then we will have free time to explore the village before returning to Gijón.
  • About 8:30 - Dinner at hotel. Germans with host families.

Monday April 14th

  • 9:00- we will organise 2 groups. The first one will visit Cogersa, Recycling plant of the north h of Spain. Possibility of taking photos and watching the process of transforming thrash into useful materials.
  • While a group is at Cogersa (30 minutes from School) the other group will be transfered to the city centre. Sightseeing tour in the historical town centre of Gijon, guided by a teacher of the Tourism School. Possibility of visiting the Roman Baths (Sorry, closed on Mondays!). At about 11:15, groups will be shifted.
  • 13:30 - Reception of the whole Comenius group by the mayor of Gijón, Dª Paz Fernandez Felgueroso or by the Education Town Councillor D.Justo Vilabrille at the Town Hall. We will be offered a lunch.
  • 4:00-6:00- Work at school. Students in groups will place the photos collected in the Flea Market, in Cogersa or those brought from their countries, in computers creating charts with photos and comments in order to produce the guide of strange objects guide found in 2100.
  • Short time to find an ending for our story : Pedro749.es
  • 6:00-8:00- - Latin dance or percussion workshop at the IES. (Students have to choose in advance)
  • Teacher’s meeting to discuss and share ideas for next year’s activities.
  • 8:30- Oriental dance show at the theatre of the Ateneo, the Local cultural centre.
  • 9:30- Dinner at hotel. Germans with host families.

Tuesday April 15th

  • 8:30 – 9:30- Presentations to the Spanish groups of students. Power point presentations can be displayed if necessary. 4 students( one from each school) will be in each class telling students things about their countries, or answering the students questions.
  • 9:30-10:00 – Each country will plant a tree in our school garden to remember the meeting.
  • 10:30- 14:00. French and German Students have to choose activities in advance:
    • a radio programme , at the CIJ to be launched and emitted on the net and Asturian bowling classes or
    • A Spanish cooking workshop and A painting-recycling workshop at the Ateneo
  • Italian Students will visit the Tourism and Cooking School.
  • 13:30 – Lunch at a Pizza place nearby
  • 14:30- 15:45- Theatre sketches, video presentations and music
  • 16:00 pm. Train to Oviedo, 30 minutes, to visit the Capital of our province. We will visit the governmental palace, the cathedral and the historical area
  • 8:00- Train to Oviedo to Gijón
  • 8:45- Dinner at the hotel
  • 21:30- Farewell party at school.

Wednesday April 16th

  • 5:30- Transfer of Italian group to the airport.
  • 8:30- French, German and Spanis will visit to Cudillero, a nice fishermen village and transfer to the airport.

WE finally finished chapter 4th, In Spanish classes the best story was selected . It was written in Spanish by ValeriaCampos from class 4ºA. Then, translated into English bythe Comenius team and finally placed on this blog.

Other school wrote to tell they liked the story…. Now we are waiting for the laste chapter that must be done by the Evry students.

Don’t forget to comment the objects and remember that those with no comments will not appear on the Guidebook. There are some new ones…take a look.

We are counting the days to mmeet all Comanius students. The Meeting will be here 12 to 16th of April and later we will go to Germany 24th to 29th April too.

After Chapter 3 written by the gErman team, it is our turn to continue the story. IT must be ready before February ends….So you can start writing!!!

Jauary 2008

New Year reminds us the things we have done and the ones that are still waiting to be finished. The Italian team has finished the second chapter of the story of Pedro and oyu can read it on this blog either in italian, English and SPANISH. Rocio Busto from class 4A has done the translation for you.

We’ve received the first chapter of the story we are going to create. The title is “The story of Pedro .es and tha authors are the Coemius students of the Lycée Rodin in Paris. The Italian team is working now on the second chapter.

You can write your own stories and design the characters. And yoi can read it on this blog in English or French.
